Why is Pacific Dental Services offering the College Advancement Program to its team members?
Pacific Dental Services believes in supporting our team members’ personal and professional goals regardless of your passion, whether that be art history, design, biological sciences, business, engineering, information technology or other field. According to the U.S. Department of Education, only half of Americans who begin college today will finish, largely due to financial barriers. We want to remove that barrier and pay your way through college—it’s that simple.
I’m interested in working for Pacific Dental Services. How soon can I participate in the College Advancement Program?
To participate in the Pacific Dental Services College Advancement Program, team members, or employees, must be benefits-eligible and working full-time. The College Advancement Program is currently being offered to the following roles: Operations Manager, Healthcare Coordinator and Dental Assistants. You are eligible to participate on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.
Why is Pacific Dental Services partnering with Arizona State University?
Arizona State University is a world-class academic institution, ranked as the #1 most innovative school in the country by U.S. News & World Report. In addition, ASU recognizes the need to offer more people an opportunity of a quality higher education and the freedom to pursue their passions in any field. For these reasons and more, Pacific Dental Services is proud to partner with ASU.
Once I join Pacific Dental Services and decide to participate in the College Advancement Program, when do I need to apply?
There are six ASU start dates every year—two sessions in the fall semester, two in the spring semester and two in the summer semester. It is recommended you complete the application process at least one month before your preferred start date.
As a program participant, what should I expect to pay out-of-pocket for my tuition and fees?
Pacific Dental Services offers 100% up-front tuition coverage to earn an undergraduate degree from 100+ programs offered online from Arizona State University. In addition, we cover up to $150 per academic session toward the cost of books, all mandatory fees and reimbursement of the application fee. Students are only responsible for any additional expenses.
Is this benefit taxable to me as income?
Pacific Dental Services provides up to $5,250 in education assistance tax-free per calendar year. Any amount of educational assistance provided to you by PDS over $5,250 will be subject to taxes and will be included on your Form W-2 for the year.
The first step in working toward earning an undergraduate degree of your choice from ASU is to apply to one of our open positions.
